Is It Unbiblical To Pray To The Saints, as Roman Catholics Do?

Are the Roman Catholics in error to pray to the Saints? Roman Catholic doctrines state it is alright to pray to creatures such as Mary, Joseph and a plethora of others whom have supposedly entered the gates of Heaven!

The Christian position on this is that it is ABSOLUTELY UNBIBLICAL to do so! See Revelation 19: 10

10 When I heard this, I fell at his feet to worship him.
But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I serve God, just as you do. I am God’s servant, just like other believers who hold firmly to what Jesus has taught. Worship God! What Jesus taught is the very heart of prophecy.”

When John wanted to bow down and worship the Angel, the Angel told him to not do so as the Angel is a fellow creature! This worship embodies prayer.

The Bible is crystal clear that prayer is always offered to God, and not the created things. Prayer is being timorous to the Lord, and NOT to anyone or anything else. If we creatures pray to other creatures it is plain IDOLITRY!

The Roman Catholic Church should re-consider this position on praying to the Saints! It is leading their own followers to Hell!

“You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them.” Exodus 20:4-5

Is this why the Pope deleted the 2nd of the 10 commandments? Is it so they could use statues & images and pray to the Saints they worship?

God Bless!
