Another fantastic article on Pokemon.
From a Christian Perspective. Any thoughts?
As Tim Hurd of the “Bible Thumping Wingnut” proposes….”Is this the best that atheism has to say?” Matt Dillahunty who goes out on the debate trail for a fee, will not debate Matt Slick! You can see why in this clip; Dillahunty will not take a position and defend it! Thus the “Dillahunty Dodge”!
Please pray for Matt Dillahunty and his lost followers!
For years now Matthew Slick has been asking to formally debate Matt Dillahunty a well known atheist in the United States. The best that Dillahunty will do is make appearances in a non-formal setting and quite honestly will not commit to any atheistic position. The wait continues for a debate. Don’t hold your breath! Please watch the following video presented by the “Bible Thumping Wingnut” Google hangout that happens every Sunday evening, and as the evidence put forth Matt Dillahunty may need to educate himself?
“The ultimate authority must always rest with the individual’s reason and critical analysis.”
That standard leads you to do what you think is correct no matter what! Wow! Sorry but the “ultimate authority” is God.
“In our struggle for freedom, truth is the only weapon we possess.”
I wonder what standard the Dalai Lama uses for “truth”?
“Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.”
If it makes, you feel good….
“If you don’t love yourself, you cannot love others. You will not be able to love others. If you have no compassion for yourself then you are not able of developing compassion for others.”
It seems that self-love comes first?
“Human potential is the same for all. Your feeling, “I am of no value”, is wrong. Absolutely wrong. You are deceiving yourself. We all have the power of thought – so what are you lacking? If you have willpower, then you can change anything. It is usually said that you are your own master.”
Again no need for Jesus here! Wow!
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other.
“To conquer oneself is a greater victory than to conquer thousands in a battle.”
Hmmm, there is a trend developing here…
“We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection.”
Well, that sounds contradictory to their belief? Just more jibber jabber.
I ask that as Christians we pray for the Dalai Lama to honor the True God and repent. Millions upon Millions of souls depend on this! Buddhism is an idol worshipping tool of the devil. A self-serving dish of paganism. Though it is disguised with actions to help others, it is a help-yourself first, false religion/philosophy.
“Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.”
Says Dalai Lama, but in Christianity, we don’t rely on the Roman goddess of luck, “FORTUNA” for direction and guidance.
Matt Dillahunty usually explains he was a Christian! However, a true Christian would not have left the faith, so he was a false Christian! Listen and come up with your conclusion. Please watch the show he hosts and you will see how he handles it! Matt Slick from CARM.ORG has still coined the “Dillahunty Dodge” Matt Dillahunty says there is a third option…Is there a God or there is No God? Matt Dillahunty says there is a “third option” however Matt Dillahunty will not say what that “Third Option” is!!
“Why do people laud this man as a deep thinker? He is amazingly facile in his thought and his answers. Here is an example. Update: I keep forgetting that when you address atheism on YouTube, you turn off comments since atheists have no moral restraints so as to control their tongues, or, in this case, their keyboards. My apologies.” Dr. James White.
There are a lot of so-called Christians saying that the Nepalese people deserve the damage and deaths that tragically happened as a result of the horrible earthquakes that have occurred and are still occurring at the time of this post. Their reasoning is that they are a pagan people with pagan idols that are against our Lord Jesus Christ. This is true! However, we as Christians need to pray, go to Nepal and assist relief efforts! My only desire is that not one dollar goes to the reconstruction of Buddhist Shrines or Idols!
God’s judgment comes fast, however, let us not be the spokespeople for God! God’s grace is amazing! He keeps His foot on the proverbial brake pedal. Can you imagine the world without His grace? We should as Christians be the example and give to accredited Nepali charities. This is a great witness to our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen
