Atheists are “Brights”?

I wonder if Christians know that we were called one of the first atheists? This is true, as we refused to worship Pagan gods.

Yet unlike the so-called modern atheists (nothing modern there), we didn’t have to use arguments that have been crushed 2000 years ago! We have the Word of God! When the atheist has no ground to stand on when we define the terms and ridiculous statements that they come up with. Such as “Everything came from nothing”. What? Atheism cannot even answer one of the most important philosophical questions regarding our own existence! It is flawed and lacking and at best can offer us only ignorance and guesses.

Atheism fails to account for existence.

The assinine defenses they come up with staggers the imagination! Funny that atheists call themselves “The Brights” and believers “The Dims”! How much arrogance does the atheist have to have?

Okay “Brights”, explain how everything came from nothing, and life came from non-life?

Psalm 14:1 (NASB)

“The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds;
There is no one who does good.”

What Are Some Problems of Atheism?

Here is a post from Chris Lockwood (comment) on Quora.com:

I tried to respond to this comment directly. however the site was not allowing me access.

I will dissect and refute the points that Mr. Lockwood posted, as this is a very typical response that atheists have against Christianity.

“Religions are like viruses (I do not mean this in any kind of derogatory way).”
– Oh no, I always use the word “Virus” as a term of endearment!

“To spread and remain viable, they evolve and adapt to pressures around them.”
– I wish he would have elaborated on that statement, but it is easy to just come up with such statements.

“There are a lot of dead religions today because they lacked mechanisms to ensure survival.”
– This inadvertently defends the Christian Faith, as it is the Truth and Christianity is stronger than ever.

“Twenty-first century Christianity is almost unrecognizable compared ninth century Christianity.”
– I again wish that Mr. Lockwood had elaborated more upon that statement with examples. He may have been thinking about Roman Catholicism as it is always changing and non-Christian. As well the Holy Bible has remained the same, barring different language translations, as the Dead Sea Scrolls and early Papyri confirms the written Word. (See link on bottom for an in depth article)

“Religions thrive on blind faith acceptance of authority and doctrine…”
– Blind Faith is actually dangerous. How would you know if there were false prophets? Jesus said: 1 John 4:1 “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” A verse telling us that blind faith is wrong! The verse is telling us we should “test the spirits” to see if they give evidence that they are indeed from God.
– Evolution is a great example of “Blind Faith! Faith is trust in something or someone. It is a confidence that something is true even if that which is believed cannot be logically proven as being true. Faith is often based on experience, the repeatability of events with logical expectation that such events will continue in the same manner, etc. Sometimes faith is based on no evidence and no logic. This is called “blind faith”.

“…often creating an emotional attachment to their belief and a blindspot where reason is concerned. This is an enormous obstacle to overcome. As a result, atheism is viewed as a threat to the point that atheists are often demonized and ridiculed.
– Oh really, let’s see what the famous atheist Richard Dawkins has to say about that….”Ridicule (Christians) is the best response, never violence. Laugh at them, mock their ridiculous beliefs…(Twitter Jan 10 2015 9:46 AM.)

“The emotional attachment people many people have with their religion is so strong that it obscures logical discourse”
– Just like evolution?

Here is his post in full:

“Here’s the thing: Religions are like viruses (I do not mean this in any kind of derogatory way). To spread and remain viable, they evolve and adapt to pressures around them. There are a lot of dead religions today because they lacked mechanisms to ensure survival. Twenty-first century Christianity is almost unrecognizable compared ninth century Christianity.

Religions thrive on blind faith acceptance of authority and doctrine, often creating an emotional attachment to their belief and a blindspot where reason is concerned. This is an enormous obstacle to overcome. As a result, atheism is viewed as a threat to the point that atheists are often demonized and ridiculed. (This reaction is designed more to keep the religious within their ranks, rather than to convert atheists.) The emotional attachment people many people have with their religion is so strong that it obscures logical discourse”.

Crazy Bible HD

I present the small movie that Ray Comfort produced called “Crazy Bible”. Some of his tactics and ideas of presenting the Gospel are a bit unusual, but this is an interseting bit. Please share this with your unbelieving friends. Ray is a Christian. His “Way of the Master” presents the Law first and Grace second. Not a route I would necessarily go, however he exposes the atheist’s weak positions and makes it a bit laughable!

Please pray for Ray, and the unbelievers to see the message clearly.

“The Insulting Richard Dawkins”

“Why do people laud this man as a deep thinker? He is amazingly facile in his thought and his answers. Here is an example. Update: I keep forgetting that when you address atheism on YouTube, you turn off comments since atheists have no moral restraints so as to control their tongues, or, in this case, their keyboards. My apologies.” Dr. James White.
