More Problems With Buddhism: #1

How do we know that reincarnation is real? Is there any evidence of it?

We through the writings of Buddhism do not get any real proof of reincarnation. All the articles and pamphlets etc. explain the “feeling” you get of reincarnation. Can we trust “feelings”? The Mormon church/cult also work that angle by saying they have a “burning in the bosom.” Any evidence outside of the “feelings” of reincarnation shows no consistency and to think of it “whose feelings are correct?” Is there any philosophical reasoning that can bring us to the conclusion of reincarnation’s authenticity?

Something to think about as well is if we are all reincarnates, how can we explain the growing population of the earth? What is the origin of the new humans? Logic must be used.

Once again, Buddhism seeks to undermine Christianity. Followers do so blindly and do so unaware of the hot coals be thrown upon them. We must pray for the Buddhist and ask the Holy Spirit to come over them! And stop following this false religion!

Genesis 6: 12
12 God looked on the earth, and behold; it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth.

John 14: 6
6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

Terminology Tuesday: Pentecost

Pentecost is a term that means fiftieth. This application is the fiftieth day after the Passover. It was the completion of the “feast of weeks” , which started on the third day after the Passover with the offering of the first harvest sheaves to God, and ended with the offering of two loaves of unleavened bread, exhibiting the first fruits of the harvest.

Leviticus 23: 17 (NASB)
17 You shall bring in from your dwelling places two loaves of bread for a wave offering, made of two-tenths of an ephah; they shall be of fine flour, baked with leaven as first fruits to the Lord.

We celebrate Pentecost today as the anniversary of the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Act 2: 40-42 (NASB)
40 And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on exhorting them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!” 41 So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. 42 They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Can A Believer Commit The Unforgivable Sin Of Blasphemy?

Blasphemy The Unforgivable Sin: Matthew 12: 31-32 (NIV)

31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

Blasphemy as a term is sometimes misunderstood, but by biblical definition, it is as Jesus defined it in Matthew 12:18 (NIV)

18 “Here is my servant whom I have chosen,
the one I love, in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will proclaim justice to the nations.

The penalty for blasphemy in the Old Testament was execution! In Rabbinic Law, blasphemy involved speaking of the divine name. It also was considered blasphemous to lead people to pagan gods.

Matthew 12: 22-32 (NASB) reads:

“Then there was brought to Him a demon-possessed man who was blind and dumb, and He healed him so that the dumb man spoke and saw. 23And all the multitudes were amazed, and began to say, “This man cannot be the Son of David, can he?” 24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “This man casts out demons only by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” 25And knowing their thoughts He said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself shall not stand. 26″And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand?27″And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Consequently, they shall be your judges. 28″But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.29″ , Or how can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his proper unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30″He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters. 31″Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32″And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come,”

In verse 24 the Pharisees accuse Jesus of summoning up Beelzebub the ruler of demons to cure the demon possessed man. They accused Jesus of performing this miracle with the help of the devil!

A believer today could not commit this sin. Read John 10: 25-30 (NIV)

25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 The Father and I are one.”

I challenge you to find any biblical scripture where a believer has committed this unforgivable sin.

Roman 6: 11-14 (NIV)

11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness.14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

The Trinity: Who Should We as Christians Pray To?

Jesus said in his words read Matthew 6: 9-13,

“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. …

This prayer was a direct answer from Jesus to his disciples.

We can also thank the Holy Spirit for the counsel and peace given and asked for through prayer (although there is no actual scripture of prayer to the Spirit as the Holy Spirit does not bear witness of himself). Although he bears witness of the Son; Read John 15: 26-27,

26 “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me. 27 And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.

So in a brief conclusion we can pray to the individual persons of the Godhead. All is scripturally based and is without a doubt confusing for the believer and unbeliever. The Trinity is ONE GOD, in THREE DISTINCT PERSONS. ONE GOD not THREE!

There also appears to be distinct separation of functions of the three persons in the Godhead;

1.The Father (YHWH) who chooses who will be saved Eph 1:3-5

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-

2.The Son (Jesus) who redeems them EPH 1: 7-9,

7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,

3. The Holy Spirit seals them Eph 1: 13-14
,
13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

As I have written above, it can be confusing to the unbeliever and believer alike. We must put our trust in the Trinity and also we can pray for understanding and revelation of the Holy Trinity. We can simply pray to God…it will address all the members of the Trinity.
